Tao Come Thai? Hu Jintao! - Stornello per Beijing 2008

'Sto pazzo di Hujntao
s'è scordato cos'è il Tao,
la sua funebre figura
fa presagio di sventura,
se la Cina si riarma
paga certo un grosso karma,
orsù dunque atleta caro,
resta a casa e stai al riparo.

Non per fare il menagramo
non per essere villano
non vorrei portare iella
ma la gente si ribella,
a stì giochi disgraziati,
che di sangue son lordati!
Che consiglio se pò dà?
Io direi di non andà!

E se poi vuoi respirare
a Pechino non andare,
ti sovrasta quella cappa
damme retta figlio: scappa!
Ma se tu sei ancora incerto,
mejo annà da un esperto!
Mio nipote che c'è annato
li polmoni s'è fregato!
Orsù dunque atleta caro,
resta a casa e stai al riparo!
Orsù dunque atleta caro,
resta a casa...

Hu Jintao Hu Jintao
s'è scordato il Tao
la sua funebre figura
presagio di sventura,

Organ Harvesting Allegations to Beijing Olympic

http://organharvestinvestigation.net/

http://organharvestinvestigation.net/...

The World Organization to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (WOIPFG) has made significant progress recently on the investigation of clandestine operations of harvesting organs from live Falun Gong practitioners in China. The investigation further confirmed that the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) Regime had been harvesting organs from live Falun Gong practitioners in mainland China. Detained Falun Gong practitioners, who went to appeal but didn』t give out their names, were primary targets of this systematic killing. The aforementioned crime reached its peak around 2003 and was virtually public knowledge, but now it had turned into a furtive operation. This is an ongoing systematic crime that had been authorized, sanctioned and collaborated within the judicial system of CCP Regime. The military and armed police hospitals had been identified as major organ transplant institutions and sites where harvesting organs from live Falun Gong practitioners took place.

During the investigation, WOIPFG investigators had contacted a broker representative of the Chinese People』s Liberation Army No. 307 Hospital, in the name of helping family members and friends to find suitable kidney supply for their transplant requests. The contact lasted for several weeks and the conversation time totaled several dozens of minutes. WOIPFG has compiled complete record of the conversation and other forms of evidence. If any interested organizations or individuals need further information, please contact WOIPFG. This report will be updated as new evidence become available in the future.

Falun Gong call for Olympic justice

Falun Gong Persecution - Organ Harvesting
http://www.faluninfo.net/topic/9/

Mounting evidence tells a terrible tale of murder and mutilation in China. Witnesses and Chinese physicians reveal that thousands of persons affiliated with the Falun Gong are being killed for their organs, which are sold and transplanted at enormous profit.

The kidneys, livers, and hearts are often sold on demand to overseas patients, who can afford them. That is, the prisoners of conscience are tissue typed and then killed once a matching recipient is found for their organs.

The perpetrators are officials of the Chinese Communist Party (CCP), acting in cahoots with surgeons, prison authorities, and military officials.

Victims are held in concentrations camps prior to dissection, after which the bodies』 remains are immediately cremated.

The story, almost too dreadful to believe, was first revealed in March 2006, when a woman claimed that as many as 4,000 Falun Gong had been killed for their organs at the hospital in which she had worked. She also said that her husband, a surgeon at the same hospital outside the northeastern city of Shenyang, had disclosed to her that he had removed cornea from the living bodies of 2,000 Falun Gong adherents (article, video).

One week later, a Chinese military doctor not only corroborated the woman』s account but claimed such atrocities were taking place in 36 different concentration camps throughout the country. The largest, he said, held 120,000 persons. He said he had also witnessed the Falun Gong being massively transported across the country in cattle trains, at night and under the cover of tight security (article).

Falun Gong supporters and human rights activists overseas immediately began investigating the allegations. They placed calls to Chinese hospitals pretending to be shopping for a kidney or a liver. To their horror, one doctor after another openly confirmed: We』ve got Falun Gong in stock; just come in and we can get you the organ within a week (link to Organs02 phone transcripts).

Shocked by these reports, two prominent Canadian human rights lawyers launched their own investigation. Then in July 2006, former Secretary of State for Asia Pacific David Kilgour and Nazi hunter David Matas, published their own 140-page report. It drew 「the regrettable conclusion that the allegations are true」 (article).

CCP officials are reportedly hastening to destroy all evidence. They have provided monitored tours and removed websites that advertised organs for sale (though not in time, as investigators had already managed to save images of these web pages). One Chinese website had boasted that it can provide matching organs in 1-4 weeks, which medical experts say is impossible unless the Chinese hospitals have access to a huge stock of living organ 「donors.」

Shortly after reports of organ harvesting emerged, Party leaders announced new legislation banning use of organs without consent. Over a year later, this law does not appear to have been implemented at all, supporting those who claimed all along that the legislation was nothing more than a public relations stunt.

Throughout the 1990』s, human rights organizations and international media reported the widespread use of executed prisoners』 organs for organ transplants in China. In 2001, a Chinese doctor testified before Congress, saying he had removed corneas and skin from more than 100 executed prisoners, including ones who were still alive (link to Organs05 - Wang Guoqi, 「The preparation for Sujiatun」: http://en.epochtimes.com/news/6-3-30/... article). The Communist Party has now begun employing 「execution vans,」 which allow for both discrete executions on the go and delivery of fresh organs to hospitals (article).

Along with Kilgour and Matas, the Committee to Investigate the Persecution of Falun Gong (CIPFG: http://www.cifg.org/) has taken the lead in uncovering and exposing the organ atrocities. CIPFG and prominent individuals, such as Jewish religious leaders and former Olympians are currently holding a Human Rights Torch Relay (link). Their message is: 「Crimes against humanity and Olympics cannot coexist in China.」

China Olympics Opening Ceremony girl was lip-syncing

Faking it at the Olympics 2:06
A little girl and her song captivated millions of viewers during the opening ceremony of the Beijing Olympics. But what they saw was not what they heard.

Games organizers confirm that Lin Miaoke, who performed "Ode to the Motherland" as China's flag was paraded Friday into Beijing's National Stadium, was not singing at all.

Lin was lip-syncing to the sound of another girl, 7-year-old Yang Peiyi, who was heard but not seen, apparently because she was deemed not cute enough.

"The reason was for the national interest," said Chen Qigang, the ceremony's musical director, in a state radio interview. "The child on camera should be flawless in image, internal feeling and expression. ... Lin Miaoke is excellent in those aspects."

The decision was made at the highest levels, Chen said.

"We had to do it," he said. "We'd been through several inspections. They're all very strict. When we rehearsed at the spot, there were several spectators from various divisions, especially leaders from the Politburo, who gave the opinion it must change."

SHANGHAI, China -- Undefeated, but no longer unchallenged.

The U.S. Olympic basketball team wrapped up its exhibition schedule with its toughest test, pulling away to beat Australia 87-76 Tuesday night in its final game before heading to Beijing.

The United States led by only four points nearly halfway through the third quarter and was up by seven midway through the fourth against an Australian team that was resting its best player, Milwaukee Bucks center Andrew Bogut.

The Americans relied on an aggressive defensive effort to overcome a horrendous night from 3-point range and the free-throw line, the same areas that proved costly in their semifinal loss to Greece in the world championships two years ago.

Dwyane Wade scored 22 points and LeBron James had 16 for the Americans, who finished 3-of-18 from three-point range and 20-of-33 (61 percent) at the foul line.

Patrick Mills and Chris Anstey, who had a first-half altercation with Wade, each scored 13 points for Australia.

The U.S. team seemed in control after allowing one basket in the final 5½ minutes of the first half to open a 44-29 lead. But the Americans left that defensive intensity in the locker room, allowing a number of open 3-pointers and uncontested drives to the basket.

The Australians outscored the Americans 13-2 to open the third quarter, pulling to 46-42 on David Barlow's layup with 6:52 remaining in the period. The United States regrouped behind Wade and Carmelo Anthony, rebuilding the lead to double digits headed to the fourth.

Michael Redd and Wade had layups to open the scoring in the fourth, pushing the U.S. lead to 69-55. Australia scored nine of the next 11 points to pull within seven with still half the period left, making the upset seem possible. The crowd even got behind the Australians, loudly booing a call that overruled what seemed to a potential three-point play for them on an offensive rebound.

The Americans got their running game going again, and Wade had some easy baskets as they pulled away for their closest victory. A 21-point win over Russia was the previous closest game for the Americans, who came in averaging 110.8 points and shooting 64.2 percent from the field.

The United States faces host China on Sunday in its Olympic opener.

Bogut, the No. 1 pick in the 2005 draft, wanted more time to rest a sore right ankle that has been bothering him, but said he expects to be ready by the opener against Croatia on Sunday.

The Australians threw a scare into defending gold medalist Argentina in an earlier friendly, building a 19-point lead in the third quarter before losing 95-90.

They started well in this game, with Mills fearlessly driving to the basket and helping Australia lead by four on a couple of occasions in the first quarter before the Americans rallied to grab a 22-19 lead.

U.S. coach Mike Krzyzewski started the second quarter with a lineup of James, Kobe Bryant, Wade, Anthony and Deron Williams. Australia wasn't intimidated by that unit, with Wade and Anstey jawing after Anstey fouled Wade away the ball and the players got tangled when the U.S. guard got up.

Australia cut it to 26-25 on David Andersen's basket with 5:36 remaining in the half, then the small unit's pressure defense set in and made it hard for the Australians to even take shots.

The Americans forced eight turnovers in the period led by James, who was all over the court coming up with steals and blocks. He scored eight straight points to make it 37-25, then swatted a shot into the seats about a minute later.

Australia finally ended its drought when Mills went all the way for a layup with 1:51 to go, but the Americans came back with a steal by James leading to his own bucket. The U.S. lead was 44-29 at the break.

Lightning Thunder Bolt creates shockwaves: Usain Bolt smashes 100 metres field and world record in Beijing Olympics final.

Imagine if he had really tried. Pounding his chest, turning up the palms of his outstretched arms, mugging for the cameras before he even crossed the finish line, Usain Bolt rewrote the record books again and captured his first Olympic medal Saturday, toying with the field and running the 100-meter dash in a stunning 9.69 seconds.

Summer Olympics Open With A Bang In Beijing 2008

Amid pollution, protests and impressive pomp and circumstance, the curtains rose Friday on the XXIX Summer Olympics in Beijing.

The four-hour opening ceremony at the 91,000-seat Bird's Nest stadium was a gaily colored extravaganza punctuated by fireworks and festivities, including a guy-in-the-sky lighting of the Olympic flame.

Gymnast Li Ning, who won three gold medals for China in 1984, was lifted by wires for the spectacle. He circled the Bird's Nest once, gliding through the air like a spacewalker. Then he used the torch to light the massive Olympic caldron.

The ceremony will be shown on TV Friday night in the United States. The anticipated crowd around the world may make this the most-watched television event ever.

The event, directed by Chinese filmmaker Zhang Yimou, drew on China's history and cultural heritage and displayed it all with high-tech wizardry. Fireworks, a Chinese invention, were set off in great waves, from within the Bird's Nest and from as far away as Tiananmen Square, several miles to the south.

Country by country, athletes strolled around the stadium in hot, hazy weather. China's squad of more than 600 was led by NBA tower Yao Ming and a young boy who lived through the spring earthquake in Sichuan province. There were thousands of musicians and performers to delight the crowd.

In Beijing, the long-anticipated day was greeted with joy and enthusiasm. Those lucky enough to secure tickets cheered long and hard for China's Olympic team, the last and largest of the 204 delegations to march in the parade of nations. Fans swirled red scarves, waved little Chinese flags and helped illuminate the Bird's Nest with glowing colored torches.

But for those expecting to see a nationalistic opening ceremony, bristling with pride over China's rapid economic development, it didn't happen. The festivities were artistic, even whimsical at times, rather than political.

Dignitaries from around the world, including President George W. Bush, witnessed the event. So did Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin on the day that a conflict escalated between Russia and the former Soviet republic of Georgia over the breakaway region of South Ossetia.

Before the opening ceremony in Beijing, Bush christened a huge new $434 million U.S. Embassy and took the opportunity to chastise the Chinese.

"We strongly believe societies which allow the free expression of ideas tend to be the most prosperous and the most peaceful," he said.

The White House said the president's weekend will be a melange of statesmanship and sports: He will continue to meet with Chinese President Hu Jintao and other officials, and he will cheer on American athletes, including swimmers and basketball players.

And it was the athletes who got the great roars from the crowd — and not just the Chinese heroes. There were cheers for tennis great Roger Federer from the Swiss delegation, for the German NBA star Dirk Nowitzki and the tennis-playing Williams sisters (Venus and Serena) from the U.S. And cheers, too, for the unknown athletes from little-known countries like Aruba, Montenegro and Kiribati.

Earlier, while athletes settled into the high-rise residential apartments of Olympic Village, protesters staged demonstrations elsewhere, criticizing China's human rights policies at home and abroad. For the next 16 days, the world will be bombarded with a similar mixture of diplomacy and sweat. Thousands of athletes will compete in an array of sports.

Concern about the hazy air permeated the first day of activities. Zhu Tong, an associate professor at Peking University's College of Environmental Science and Engineering and an adviser to the government, told The Associated Press, "The stagnant air in Beijing has helped pollutants accumulate. I really hope in the next couple weeks, we'll have conditions that will help us clear up the sky."

Olympic No-Shows Cause Concern

One week after the start of the Beijing Olympics, spectators are seeing something no one expected: empty seats.
According to the Washington Post when U.S. swimmer Michael Phelps took the gold in the 200 meter freestyle, there were more than 500 empty seats in the arena. The BBC reported that less popular events like judo and badminton had even smaller turnouts.

It comes after Chinese authorities announced that tickets to all events had been sold out. But according to the Washington Post, many of those tickets were given away to corporate sponsors and Chinese state-run businesses.

The low turnout has hurt local Beijing businesses, which were counting on a boost from foreign tourism.

And now, faced with large numbers of no-shows, organizers have resorted to having the Olympic volunteers fill seats and form cheering squads.

Increased security measures and visa restrictions may be partly to blame for the low turnout. But it』s another blow to the Chinese regime, which is already suffering from negative publicity over media restrictions and human rights abuses. ( http://english.ntdtv.com/?c=145&a=4482 )
